Born and raised on a farm in the SE area, I’ve always been deeply rooted in my
community. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of
Saskatchewan, I moved to Estevan to embark on my career journey. Following my
passion, I pursued a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Regina,
which equipped me with the tools to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
With a decade of experience in various fields of social work, including more than six
years dedicated to Mental Health and Addictions, I’ve honed my skills and knowledge
by continuously expanding my expertise with ongoing education and exploration of
different treatment modalities. I have undergone specialized training in Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and have achieved Level 1 Certification in Gottman
Therapy for Couples, currently working on level 2, along with many others over the
years.
While my professional journey was fulfilling, my greatest joy has come from being a
mother to twin girls. I chose to take a break to focus on being home with them full-
time and am excited to continue on with my professional journey. My husband and I
farm as well as owners of local businesses, as we believe in the value of investing in
the community around us. My commitment to supporting the well-being of others is
also reflected in my non-judgmental, compassionate, and caring approach to social
work.
